My time is flying away.. in the last couple of weeks I have been running, training for the great north in the evening as well, but mainly running all over for business. What a fantastic weather we have been having, the only thing we are missing at the moment is a proper beach with warm water, if I had it, the north east would be the best place in the world...
Last week end I was in Edinburgh for a food show and tomorrow I am going to meet a possible investor for another idea I have been working in the last couple of months. In a couple of weeks I am also going to Milan for the Milan food and wine show, only for a couple of days, looking for new products and suppliers but I wont any time to do some shopping... Working, working and working, soon it will be time for holiday though...

The conference is over: thoughts
Last Thursday I joined the crowd of entrepreneurs at to the Inspired6 conference and am very pleased that I went. Not only I met and talked to plenty of other entrepreneurs, but I left the evening very inspired. I also had the chance to meet some of my fellow finalists and get to know them a bit more than what written in their profile. My highlights of the conference were Martin Lightbody and Matthew Riley, both have had my total attention and gave me plenty of inspiration and suggestions that I will now apply to Italyabroad.com, two complete different characters with two very different stories behind, but both very successful and worth to listen, I only hope I had grabbed one of the cakes thrown to the audience by Martin…

This weather makes me...
... wanting to take the first plane and fly somewhere nice and hot, at least 35 degrees. This weather depresses me and I don’t feel like doing anything, but at this point, the entrepreneur takes the seat and I realise that nice weather or not, I have to work even if I don’t feel like. Last night we had a very successful wine tasting evening in Newcastle, everyone truly enjoyed it, we got fantastic feedbacks and so, this morning I feel a bit tired. People always think that doing a wine tasting is fun, and in a way it is, but there is also quite a bit of work involved making sure that everything goes according to plan and during the evening you don’t get the chance to relax until is all over. Anyway, got a few more things to do before calling the day off and go home, open a nice bottle of wine to pair my salmon steak. Feel free to come along if you want to.

Monday morning
Back to the office.. hopefully the weather will stay nice, I cant wait for the summer to arrive. I have just finished preparing the tasting notes for tonight wine tasting event and I look forward to it, it will be another great evening. I am very please how the event organisation is growing, not only people come back but also bring plenty of friends, this means that both, wine and me are pretty good. I am off for a proper espresso to face the afternoon and I need to start asking for votes otherwise I will end up with none.
See you later.
See you later.

Grow, grow and grow
While I wait for a candidate to arrive for an interview, it seems he is going to be late, not good, a few more thoughts. I am a believer that times like these offer plenty of opportunities and it is there is no better time to grow Italyabroad.com, it is challenging and tough but there are plenty of opportunities to grab and I have plenty of ideas, probably too many. Anyway, we are now working on making a few changes to the website and finding bigger premises amongst others. These are very exciting times for us, I guess the most exciting from an entrepreneur’s point of view and a lot of thinking and planning is required and sleepless nights, luckily I always have a nice bottle of wine to help me dreaming… have a good week end and see you soon and don’t forget to vote… a bottle of wine for each vote received, ops I should not say that here

Here we are
Welcome to my blog and thanks for following. Should I introduce myself or not? Lets try in a few words. A business mind with a passion for great food and wine that loves discovering new places and cultures. I am impressed, I think I could not do better. Lets expand the definition. Business mind. Spent, and still spending, most of my life studying business, since I was a kid all I wanted was to become an entrepreneur because of the way they are pictured, I was never told of the hard work involved thought, so I thought I needed to study. I love travelling and this is probably the reason I left home when I was 18 and only go back on holiday, by the way, Abruzzo where I come from, is a beautiful region and recommend you to think about it when planning your next holiday and get in touch if you need any help in planning it. Lastly, food and wine. I am sure this a passion that I share with many of you, what more than finishing off a hard work day with a delicious meal and a fantastic bottle of wine, possibly with your loved one or your family or on your own if you had a bad day? Put the three together and Italyabroad.com was born. If you would like to know more about it or read about my journey through Italian food and wine, I invite you to visit www.italyabroad.com, whilst I will use this blog to post about the entrepreneur side. ciao for now and please feel free to add comments on the both blogs..
